St. Peter’s London Docks is a Church of England school, providing education in a Christian context for children of the parish, who come from a range of Christian and other backgrounds. We believe that good education promotes both academic and spiritual growth developing each pupil’s potential to the full.

We seek to instill religious and moral codes which will sustain children throughout their lives and help them become moral and responsible adults. Children follow a Religious Education syllabus based on Christian teachings and beliefs and are also taught to respect and understand other faiths. From age 9 they have the opportunity to study for confirmation within the Church of England.

St. Peter’s School is organically linked to St. Peter’s Parish Church, a link strongly supported by the clergy and the school staff. On Thursday mornings children attend school mass at the Church as they have done for more than 150 years. On all other mornings we hold assemblies which are Christian based and have a high moral and spiritual content. Our Parish priests lead at least one assembly every week and are regularly present at school throughout the school year.
